Coffee Bean Blank (Polyester Resin)

These blanks we are made from real coffee beans suspended in polyester resin (PR). These blanks are NOT Inlace Acrylester.

Coffee bean blanks are not for beginners. You must have very sharp tools, a steady hand, and lots of patients while taking very thin layers off. Keep a teaspoon of coffee grounds (new or used as long as they are dry) and some CA glue handy to fill any voids you may find. Being made of PR, you will not find many voids. Our supplier is very picky about the quality of the product.

I suggest painting your brass tubes white to prevent the brass tube from showing through the white PR in the finished pen. Do Not Wetsand these blanks in the finishing process. A CA finish works best.
