Thorny Black Locust is a domestic wood which grows in the Missouri Ozarks. Due to the diverse weather conditions experienced in southwest Missouri between years of drought and wet the grain patterns vary widely in color. These blanks span the color spectrum from a pink-orange to an almost white spectrum all within the same blank. These gorgeous blanks have been air dried. The ends of the blanks were sealed with AnchorSeal to prevent checking immediately after they were cut to permit even drying. No two blanks are the same and the picture on the left depicts a typical blank selection.
