If you are new to the product, this is a great way to try it out.
Cellulose Sanding Sealer: To be used under the Friction polish for an ultra high shine, but not required in order to use the Friction polish
Directions:After sanding, wipe on a coat of Sealer.
When touch dry, turn on the lathe and sand with 400 or 600 grit to cut back smooth.
Up to two coats can be applied.
Once complete, follow the Friction polish instructions.
High Build Friction Polish: a shellac based friction polish giving a very high build requiring no sealing (sealing not required but will produce higher shine) before application.
Application: Use sparingly to avoid appearance of "rings" on pen
After turning your work on the lathe, sand if necessary to produce a completely smooth finish.
Stop the lathe.
Apply Friciton Polish to the entire surface with a lint free cotton cloth.
While the polish is still drying start the lathe and begin to apply a heavier coat of polish by a gradual increase of pressure with the cloth to the turning surface.
Using this method, Friction Polish will quickly build up to a beautiful smooth sheen.
